Karen Cushman Monday, May 17th, 4 pm A last-minute addition to our event calendar Newbery Award-winning author Karen Cushman will be making a stop at Mrs. Nelson's Toy and Book Shop to sign copies of her latest book, Alchemy and Meggy Swann. Ms. Cushman is well-known for her historical novels for young readers including the Newbery winner The Midwife's Apprentice, the Newberry honor book Catherine, Called Birdy, Matilda Bone, The Ballad of Lucy Whipple, and many more! Ms. Cushman's stop at Mrs. Nelson's is a last minute addition and the author is only planning on signing books, but if enough fans happen to come on in, we just might get her to give us a short presentation!
