Reviewed by Jessica N. aged 12 I loved the book Pearl, there was nothing I didn't like about it. I liked how you got to know the characters before the story started up. The author really showed how a friendship can be; even though sometimes it may on the verge of breaking, they don't let go hope. This story really tugs at the reader's heartstrings because they might have experienced something like this in a friendship. I would absolutely recommend this book.

The Game of Triumphs was a great book. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I felt that it started up too early and that you didn't really get to know the characters. The storyline was original along with the characters. I would have never thought of doing it this way, but when it is written, it is amazing. I would recommend this book to people who love the thought that there are other worlds out there.

When Jack goes to live with his aunt and uncle, he thinks he will have a boring summer. At home, nobody cares about him. He doesn't have any friends. Even the town bully ignores him. But in Hazelwood, the actually makes friends! Hazelwood's biggest bully beats him up! Then he finds a book his uncle wrote. He starts to read it and then he realizes there is something magic in Hazelwood. I loved this story. The part I likes best was when Jack was reading the book his uncle wrote. This book was very well written, but sometimes it didn't make sense. The characters are very likeable and the setting is important because Hazelwood is magical. If this book was on a rating scale from 1-10, I would give it a 9.

Review by Jerica Dunton, age 11: Gray is now the head of the Rouge Shiver. He and the rest of the shiver have been watching the Razor Shiver and Goblin Shiver for some time. Just when they least expect it, a new shark comes around. His name is Prince Finnvus, and he wants to conquer the entire ocean, and eat anyone who tries to stop him. Can Gray train with Takiza, an ancient, wise fish, in time to save his friends and the long-lost Coral Shiver? Read to find out! I would recommend this book for ages 10 and up. It’s funny yet battle-filled to the last page. A good book.
