Review By Vanessa Lanza

The Trouble With Chickens is about a retired rescue dog who is sent on a mission by a chicken family. The mother tells the rescue dog, named J.J. Tully, that she has lost two of her chicks. The mother, named Moosh, has the other two chicks with her; their names are Dirt and Sugar. J.J. Tully gets annoyed at the two chicks, because they are very talkative.

J.J. Tully finds out that a dachsund nicknamed “Vince The Funnel” captured the missing chicks. He and the chicks go to Vince’s house and discover the chicks in a cage while Vince watches TV. At the end, Vince is caught by J.J. Tully, and the chicks are brought home to their mother and siblings.

I think this book was very entertaining and funny. I thought the characters and their names were very creative, too. I recommend this book for ages 9-11.

It is a really fun book because the dinosaurs do fun things like play, ride on a boat and on a surfboard. But at the very end of the story the dinosaurs go back into the back. It was not a very fun ending to the story.

Summertime has arrived and Lucy is going to her favorite place Pierson Point. Once there, she discovers that Ian, her enemy from school, bought a summerhouse there. Ian takes over her daycare group and breaks the old rope swing. Then she finds out that Ian wants to buy the Steele's kayak. The plot shifts when Lucy goes for a kayak ride with Ian and they make a big discovery. This was a really good book. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes books about someone's life. I give this book a 9, and I think this book should win an award.

Entwined by Heather Dixon is a very fun story about 12 princesses who want to dance but can't because they are in mourning because of there [sic] mother's death. Tolled [sic] from the oldest sister's point of view, this story is enchanting and exciting. The characters are well developed, but they are sometimes mixed up and you have to wait a few chapters before you really get into the story. I like the scare aspect to the gardens and it's a keeper. All over this entire story is very exciting and romantic.
