Twelve-year old September has a dull life. When a green wind comes to her window, she is whisked off to fairyland. There, she has many adventures and makes 2 new friends, Saturday and A-Through-L. When the new Marquess, queen of Fairyland, orders September to retrieve an object, her friends are captured. It's up to September to save Fairyland. This book is well written and well plotted. September is very likeable. The first part of the book moves slowly, but then it gets much better. I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure. On a rating scale from 1-10, I would give this book an 8.

Molly Dix, from Indiana, has a lot to deal with. Her mother has just passed away, and told her a life-changing secret… Molly’s father is the world-famous Brick Berlin! She now must pack up her bags and move all the way to Hollywood, to prepare for a life style completely different from what she’s used to. In Hollywood, she meets her less than enthusiastic half-sister Brooke. Brooke immediately has it out for Molly. Can the two work out their problems? Or will Molly leave once again? I really enjoyed spoiled. It is a great story about what its like to live in Hollywood. There is tragedy, romance, half-sisterly drama, and it is just all-around a good book. It is definitely one of my new favorites. On a scale of one-ten I would rate it a 9.85. I recommend this book for ages 13-21.
Thirteen-year-old Annie, who works at her grandmother’s teashop, has just entered a scone blog contest. For the contest, she must create a blog with recipes and ideas for scones. In order to be a top contender and compete to win the grand prize (a trip to London), she must be on of the 5 most followed blogs. Everything is going smoothly, that is until nasty comments start popping up on her posts! Who is this person tormenting Annie? Will Annie become a finalist? Who will win? I thought this book was really cute. I love the fact that there are yummy recipes inside. I recommend this for ages 10-14. 7.8/10

Shark Wars is about a young reef shark called Gray who always manages to find himself in trouble. It all begins when Gray and Barkley, a dogfish and Gray’s best friend, wander off a ways. Gray was hunting a shellhead, and Barkley tagged along. Suddenly, Gray hit a concealed shelf and his dorsal fin was exposed above the water! When he got free, and started swimming home, his mother saw them. And, boy was she mad! Gray was grounded for a week, which meant he couldn’t swim more than a body length away from the sand. But, an unexpected encounter with a tiger shark changes Gray’s whole life. He was banned from his own shiver of sharks, the Reef Shiver, and now he and Barkley swim the open waters. That is, until they form Rogue Shiver with some other sharks called Striker, a great white, Finn, a thresher, Snork, a sawshark, and Shel, a bull shark. Then Goblin Shiver destroys everything. To learn more, read this book. I recommend it for nine to ten year olds. It’s really funny and suspenseful because you don’t know what might happen on the next page.

David Rain, Lucy and Zanna have disappeared. Twelve year old David has a weird power. When he sleeps, he transforms into a beast with brown fur, big eyes, and sharp teeth. His parents send him to a librarium. There he makes friends with Rosa, the girl working there. He finds a book and everyone at the librarium gets older. There he meets a green firebird. The green firebird helps him and Rosa get to the upper floors. There they start a cool adventure. My favorite part of the story is when David and Rosa get to the upper floors. It is very well written, but the first part is a little hard to understand. The characters are very likeable. I especially like Rosa. The setting is important, because the libraruim is alive and magical. If this book was on a rating scale from 1-10, I would give it an 8.

Mal is a third-grade genius. Chad is his wonderful talking dog. They have had many adventures together, but none come close to the one they’re about to have! A paper about who you want to be when you grow up is assigned, and Mal cannot decide. So he tries underwater exploration. Nope, the water just isn’t meant for him. Then, they go to the Mesozoic era, and find themselves in the Cretaceous epoch. Mal and Chad hitch a ride on a Brachiosaurus and eat lunch in a tree. But, when they try to go back to the time machine, they run into a...mean, hungry carnivore! It chases them around, but eventually, the next day, the adventuring pair escapes. However, the time machine crash lands, and what happens next is for YOU to find out! A really funny book, I recommend it for all ages.
Adam Adler is being followed through New York. But by whom, the answer remains unclear, that is, until the pursuers catch up with him, and supposedly take him away. All is well, the people mean no harm, but someone else does. So, Adam and his dad are taken on a boat to Raptor Island, where killer beasts lurk. Adam goes through a live-or-die quest and comes out alive, thankfully. Raptor Island is full of genetically engineered monsters, which have one mission: kill. Another smashing hit from Steve Cole, who’s first book in this series was Z. Rex. With somewhat bloody and suspenseful scenes, this book is sure to please older readers.
